Cryopreserved platelets: photometric observations.
Author(s) : ARNAUD F.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Platelets that underwent a freeze-thaw process and subsequent washing presented a higher transmittance than fresh platelets. Light microscope indicated that cryopreserved platelet populations contain fewer discs and the cells are less granular. This simple initial measurement of transmittance should be considered further as a new platelet assessment.
