Cryoprotection of purified rat kidney transamidinase by polyethylene glycol.

Author(s) : TORMANEN C. D.

Type of article: Article

Summary

The article studies the utilization of polyethylene glycols of various molecular weights for the cryoprotection of the transamidinase enzyme. The experiment is carried out on transamidinase extracted from cells of rat kidney. To be efficient, the polyethylene glycol used as a cryoprotectant must be of a high molecular weight (from 4,000 to 10,000).
