Summary

Temperature maintaining for temperature-sensitive drugs is a requirement for the patient's care. This support must be ensured from production to patient including storage, transport and distribution. The respect of the temperature for cold drugs (between 2 °C and 8 °C is difficult because of the multiplicity of the cold chain actors. The aim of this study is to evaluate quality delivery of cold drugs in a university hospital. During the seven months of the study, one hundred evaluations were realized. Non-compliances observed are mainly about temperature traceability, transport conditions or packaging of medicines. This study shows the difficulties of quality delivery of cold drugs to a hospital. For instance, as it happens quite often, the delivery of a cold drug packaged in a craft box and shipped with a regular truck. This work could be carried out in other health institutions.
