Lists conditions that are needed to encourage the spread of desiccant HVAC systems. Describes appropriate commercial building applications as well as cost-effective design techniques. Examines the impact of desiccant HVAC systems on indoor air quality and on building energy consumption and cost. Presents the results of two energy analyses comparing desiccant systems with conventional HVAC systems in a large office building and a fast-food restaurant.
