Summary

THE PROTOTYPE IS EQUIPPED WITH 2 SEPARATE REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, INTEGRATED CONDENSERS AND INCREASED INSULATION THICKNESS. AN ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER IS DEVELOPED TO GOVERN THE TEMPERATURES AND THE AUTOMATIC DEFROSTING IN BOTH COMPARTMENTS. UNDER US STANDARD CONDITIONS THE 18 CUBIC FEET (510 LITER) PROTOTYPE CONSUMES 536 KILOWHR/YEAR COMPARED WITH 890 KILOWHR/YEAR FOR THE MOST EFFICIENT SIMILAR SIZED MODEL ON THE US MARKET IN 1986.
