Summary

A PREVIOUS STUDY HAS PROVED THE PHYSICAL-CHEMISTRY FEASIBILITY OF THE SYSTEM LITHIUM CHLORIDE-METHYLAMINE WITH THE AIM OF ICE PRODUCTION, WITH POSSIBLE USE OF A FLAT PLATE COLLECTOR WITH A NON-SELECTIVE SURFACE ; THE MINIMAL HIGH TEMPERATURE NEEDED FOR DECOMPOSITION BEING 353 K (80 DEG C) FOR A CONDENSING TEMPERATURE OF 308 K (35 DEG C). THE DECISIVE RESULTS OBTAINED ON A LABORATORY DEVICE HAVE LED TO THE CONCEPTION AND THE REALIZATION OF A PROTOTYPE OF A SOLAR REFRIGERATOR FOR VACCINE STORAGE. THE CURRENT PERFORMANCE ACHIEVED ON THIS APPARATUS ARE ICE PRODUCTION OF 4.5 KG PER DAY, THAT IS 2.5 KG PER M2 OF COLLECTOR AND A SOLAR COP OF 0.053.
