Experiences with ice slurry systems in practice are reported. Design rules are described, which can be of great help in planning and calculating ice slurry systems. The rules relate on ice storage tanks, pipework, insulation, pumps and heat exchangers. The explanations in the article relate to plant construction and distribution of the stored thermal energy.
