CONSIDERATION SHOULD BE GIVEN DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS TO THE QUANTITY OF REFRIGERANT THAT THE COMPONENTS AND PIPING WILL HOLD DURING NORMAL OPERATION AND WHEN PUMPED DOWN TO THIS END, EXAMINES CONDENSING AND EVAPORATING SYSTEM LAYOUTS AND THEIR COMPONENTS, TOGETHER WITH THE USE OF HEAT TRANSFER MEDIASUCH AS CHILLED WATER. COMMENTS ON COMPRESSOR SELECTION. CONCLUDES BY EXAMINING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF COMMISSIONING, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR AND EDUCATION AND TRAINING.
