Summary
A particular feature of this system is a set of supply and return solution headers on ethylene solution circuits, so that the solution goes through different pipes in the charging and discharging modes and no freezing occurs in the pipeline. This dual header system changes the primary-secondary pumping system into a simple primary pumping system, in which the solution pumps work for both ice storage and ice melting circulation purposes, resulting in simplified design of the system, reduced floor area of the plant room and lower energy consumption and investment costs.
