Author(s) : WIRBEL L., LAFHAJ Z., GARCIN A.

Summary

The objective of the article is to design a new performing and economical system to insulate buildings from the exterior regarding their thermal behavior. The article is divided in three parts. The first one presents the assembling of new materials forming an insulation cladding. This cladding is composed of panels that ensure the insulation of the building as well as its facing. The originality of this new cladding is that it is made of several materials in layers. The second part concerns the modelization of the new system with the software Wufi© which allow the prediction of hygrothermal flux in a wall. In the third part, the new insulation solution tested in dynamic conditions using Wufi© is discussed, as well as a modeling of different usual insulation systems.
