Type of article: Article

Summary

A SYNTHETIC PRESENTATION OF THE DIFFERENT METHODS OF MEASURING IN A TRANSIENT WAY THE THERMAL PARAMETERS WITH < THERMAL SHOCK PROBES > IS MADE BY USING THE POINT OF VIEW OF SYSTEMS DYNAMICS. THE CORRESPONDING HEAT TRANSFER MODELS AND THE ASSOCIATED IDENTIFICATION TECHNIQUES ARE DESCRIBED. PARTICULAR ATTENTION IS FOCUSED ON THE INFLUENCE OF A THERMAL CONTACT RESISTANCE BETWEEN THE PROBE AND THE MATERIAL. A METHOD TO STUDY THIS PROBLEM IS PROPOSED. USING PROBES WITH VERY LOW THERMAL INERTIA IS PARTICULARLY WELL ADAPTED TO . IN SITU > MEASUREMENT. INDICATIONS ARE GIVEN ON THE REALIZATION OF THIS TYPE OF PROBE, THEIR CONDITIONS OF PRACTICAL USE AND THE ESTIMATION OF THEIR PERFORMANCES.
