Author(s) : HIRANO H., FUTAGAMI Y., OKA H.

Summary

To improve the severe sliding conditions that are caused by the combination of HFCs and ester-oil, the authors studied the wear phenomena in ester-oil. Then, to improve the durability of materials decreasing the corrosive-wear, they focused on the following: maintaining the thickness of oil-film, improving the anti-corrosion properties. Finally, they developed new materials with high wear-resistant properties, and achieved a great improvement on the reliability of a compact horizontal-type scroll compressor for HFCs.
