Summary
With the increase of concern about the global environmental protection, energy and resource saving are growing important in the field of compressors and their applications. Refrigerant emission reduction and choice of suitable working fluid are also important considerations in the air-conditioning and refrigeration industry. This paper presents an overview on technical issues and solutions of various types of compressors on adopting alternative working fluids. It also covers recent progress on the energy saving technology of compressors in A/C systems with R-410A.
