Summary
In the unit described, a seasonal energy efficiency ratio of 7% higher than that of the conventional unit with R22 is achieved by improving the performance of indoor and outdoor heat exchangers. An immiscible alkylbenzene is used as lubricant. The experimental results show the R410A unit using an alkylbenzene has reliable oil return characteristics under severe conditions.
