Summary
The authors extended the indications for cryosurgery to severe hemorrhoid, anal prolapse, fistula in ano, and combined cases, with successful results: 1,056 patients with prolapse, 757 hemorrhoid, 177 fistula, and 5 with fistula plus prolapse. Good results are ensured only by the well trained and skilled surgeons in this field. Selection of cryogenic agents is also of importance.
