Summary

Several models of rapid cool-down miniature Joule-Thomson cryocoolers are being developed, which are used for scientific, medical and other spheres. They are ideally suited for cooling applications that require fast cool-down times, harsh environmental conditions and long storage periods. A typical kind of rapid cool-down Joule-Thomson cooler is introduced, which is designed for the cooling of an electronic assembly. Its main structure and the practical thermodynamic procedure is shown in chart and analysed in detail. They are expected to be applied in a much wider sphere thanks to their light weight, low cost and high performance.
