Summary
With the triple effect cycle, the temperature of the generator may be higher than 220 °C. Under such conditions, when using aqueous lithium bromide, the corrosion of the material is so fast that the material cannot stand up to normal use; consequently the triple effect cannot be realized. The triple effect cycle is realized by using a ternary nitrate solution as working fluid.
