Summary

THE CERAMICS ARE FOUND TO DISPLAY A BEHAVIOUR WHICH IS TYPICAL OF A GRANULAR SUPERCONDUCTOR WITH JOSEPHSON COUPLINGS AT GRAIN BOUNDARIES. THE HYSTERESIS IN THE FIELD DEPENDENCES OF SUSCEPTIBILITY AND CRITICAL CURRENT IS OBSERVED. EMPIRICAL EQUATIONS FOR TEMPERATURE AND FIELD DEPENDENCES OF CURRENT DENSITY ARE DERIVED. IT IS SHOWN THAT LEAD WHICH SUBSTITUTES BISMUTH IN THE SYSTEM IN QUESTION AFFECTS APPRECIABLY THE PARAMETERS OF GRAIN CONTACTS BUT PRODUCES NO CHANGES IN THE PROPERTIES OF BULK SUPERCONDUCTING PHASE 2223.
