Summary

DESCRIBES A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF THE PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF COOLING ENERGY OBTAINED BY HEAT EXCHANGE WITH THE DISCHARGE FLOW OF COOLED WASTE WATER FROM LARGER HEAT PUMP PLANTS. RESULTS OBTAINED TO DATE SHOW THAT IT WOULD BE ECONOMICALLY FEASIBLE TO PRODUCE AND SELL COOLING ENERGY FROM LARGER HEAT PUMP PLANTS. DETAILS COSTS. NOTES THAT DISTRICT COOLING COULD WELL COMPETE WITH CONVENTIONAL COOLING, PARTICULARLY IN AREAS WITH HIGH COOLING REQUIREMENT DENSITY AND WHERE DISTRIBUTION COSTSCAN BE LIMITED. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
