SINCE 1982, HEAT PUMP PLANT WITH A CAPACITY OF 415 MW HAVE BEEN BUILT IN THE STOCKHOLM AREA. TWO PLANT OF 100 AND 120 MW ARE BASED ON TREATED SEWAGE WATER. THE OTHERS ARE BASED ON LAKE WATER. THE ELECTRICITY COST OF THE PLANT IS ABOUT 5 MILLION DOLLARS. THE REDUCTION IN OIL COST IS 9 MILLION DOLLARS. DESCRIBES THE OPERATION OF THE PLANT APPLIED TO DISTRICT HEATING.
