Summary
A refrigeration unit using ammonia is presented with dry expansion, bimetal type clad tube, indirect cooling, and soluble oil. The paper describes a dry expansion evaporator which enables a reduction in the refrigerant hold of 10-20% compared to wet expansion (flooded evaporator or recirculation-type evaporator).
