Summary

The behaviour of an electronic on-off expansion valve and one operated by a three step-motor was studied experimentally in a smaller-than-6-kilowatt refrigerating plant, the evaporating temperature and compressor speed of which vary respectively from -20 to 10 deg C and from 1000 to 3000 rpm.
