Summary
The results show that the needed time of starting process for a small direct-fired absorption installation is relatively long. The vapour generating rate and the outlet temperature of solution in the generator reach to the steady value at the same time. When the heat transfer coefficient between smoke and solution is below 50 W/(m2K) and the outlet temperature of smoke is about 200 °C, the starting process takes 45 to 60 minutes.
