DYNAMIC STUDY OF CARBON RESISTORS SELF-HEATING USED AS CRYOGENIC THERMOMETERS.

ETUDE DYNAMIQUE DE L'AUTO-ECHAUFFEMENT DES RESISTANCES AU CARBONE UTILISEES EN THERMOMETRIE CRYOGENIQUE.

Summary

THE AUTHORS STUDIED THE DYNAMICAL BEHAVIOUR OF A CRYOGENIC (4.2 K) TEMPERATURE SENSOR (100 OHMS, ALLEN BRADLEY), WHEN THE EXCITATION IS A CONSTANT POWER PULSE. THE SIMPLIFIED MODEL USE AND ITS EXPERIMENTAL VERIFICATION ALLOW TO DEFINE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE WIDTH OF THE PULSE AND THE TEMPERATURE ACCURACY. MOREOVER, WITH THIS METHOD, THE OUTPUT MEASUREMENT SIGNAL IS IN AGREEMENT WITH THE INPUT LEVEL OF DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEMS.
