Summary

BARLEY WAS EXPERIMENTALLY CONTAMINATED BY ASPERGILLUS PARASITICUS AND AT 273 K (0 DEG C) WAS ADJUSTED WITH WATER CONTENTS OF 17, 20 AND 25%. GAMMA IRRADIATION WAS APPLIED AT DOSES OF 0, 50, 100, 200 AND 400 KRAD, 3 AND 13 DAYS AFTER CONTAMINATION. THE INCREASE IN THE IRRADIATION DOSE RESULTS IN A DECREASE OF AFLATOXIN FORMATION. FOR THE CONTROL OF CONTAMINATION BY AFLATOXINS, STORAGE AT A LOW HUMIDITY LEVEL IS MORE EFFECTIVE THAN GAMMA IRRADIATION. (Bull. bibliogr. CDIUPA, FR., 16, N.6, 1982/06, 63, 168989.
