Summary
THE TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT ON POTATOES OF DESIREE AND EBA VARIETIES STORED 4 TO 5 MONTHS AT 278 K (5 DEG C) AND 293-295 K (20-22 DEG C), AFTER BEING IRRADIATED WITH DIFFERENT DOSES (4, 6, 8, 10 AND 12 KRAD). WEIGHT LOSS, GERMINATION RATE AND RESPIRATION INTENSITY WERE MEASURED. THE MOST SATISFACTORY RESULTS WERE OBTAINED FOR BOTH VARIETIES STORED AT 293-295 K WITH AN IRRADIATION DOSE OF 12 KRAD.
