Summary

Details are given of studies in Belarus on cultivars Stevens, Hoves and Searls of large-fruited American cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon). Berries were harvested on different dates from August to October, and then stored at 3-4 deg C and 80% relative humidity in a controlled environment chamber until February. Data are presented on berry quality, respiration rate and chemical composition. Harvesting date had a significant effect on titratable acidity and content of dry matter, sugars and vitamin C.
