SUPERCONDUCTING PROPERTIES OF YBCO, SUCH AS THE CRITICAL CURRENT DENSITY AND THE TEMPERATURE OF ZERO RESISTANCE, ARE SYSTEMATICALLY IMPROVED BY ADDING SILVERPOWDER TO YBCO POWDER WITH AN OPTIMAL AMOUNT OF SILVER (OPTIMAL CONCENTRATION: 3-10 WT%). THE PAPER SHOWS THE EFFECTS OF A MAGNETIC SHIELD OF YBCO CYLINDERS WITH AND WITHOUT SILVER.
