Summary

VARIOUS APPROACHES SUCH AS SOLID STATE PHASE SYNTHESIS, MELT TEXTURE GROWTH AND LASER FLOATING ZONE MELTING, ETC, HAVE BEEN USED FOR PREPARING BULK OXIDE MATERIALS. RECENTLY, THE MELT-TEXTURED YBCO SAMPLE EXHIBITED HIGH SUPERCONDUCTING CURRENT IN MAGNETIC FIELD, REACHING CRITICAL CURRENT DENSITIES HIGHER THAN 10,000 A/CM2. AT PRESENT, THE YBCO THIN FILMS PREPARED BY DIRECT CURRENT MAGNETRON SPUTTERING METHOD ON LANTHANUM-ALUMINIUM OXIDE SUBSTRATE HAVE ACHIEVED 3,800,000 A/CM2 AT 77 K, 0T FIELD.
