FREEZING PRESERVATION OF MANGO (MANGIFERA INDICA, VAR. < SMITH > AND < LIPPENS >) WAS INVESTIGATED. THE EFFECTS OF FREEZING AND FROZEN STORAGE ON POLYPHENOLOXIDASE AND PEROXIDASE (POD) ACTIVITIES WERE EVALUATED. AN IMPORTANT REGENERATION POD ACTIVITY AFTER 141 DAYS (V. LIPPENS) AND 203 DAYS (V. SMITH) OF FROZEN STORAGE WAS FOUND. OTHER RESULTS ARE DISCUSSED.
