Summary

THE HEAT TRANSFER SURFACE OF THE EXCHANGER IS COMPOSED OF A METALLIC MATERIAL AND A THIN FILM OF VITREOUS OR PORCELAIN ENAMEL, WHICH IS COATED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE METALLIC MATERIAL. THE HIGH STRENGTH AND HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE OF THE ENAMEL SURFACE AT HIGH TEMPERATURES MAKE THIS NEW DEVICE EXTREMELY ATTRACTIVE, NOT ONLY IN ITS LOW COST BUT ALSO IN ITS HIGH QUALITY OF PERFORMANCE. THE ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF A SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR THE HEAT RECOVERY OF THE FLUE GAS ENERGY IN A FURNACE OR KILN HAS SHOWN THAT THE PAYBACK PERIOD OF THE HEAT EXCHANGER IS AROUND 1 YEAR.
