IIR document

Energy characteristics of a refrigerating machine working with a mixture of natural fluids: carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.

Summary

The paper presents the energy characteristics of cycles with R170-R209-R600, R170-R290-R600a and R170-R744-R600 mixtures used as refrigerants. The investigation shows that working fluids with addition of carbon dioxide are less effective than mixtures of hydrocarbons. However, carbon dioxide increases the fire safety of hydrocarbon mixtures.
