Summary
In view of the debate over whether lithium bromide absorption refrigeration, especially in cogeneration combining heating, cooling and power supply, is more energy efficient than compression refrigeration, the equivalent fuel consumption factor K(s) and its calculation formula are provided. The K(s) values for the three systems are compared concluding that the cogeneration system can be energy efficient only when the high pressure generator unit is involved.
