Summary

Two main cell populations differing in energy metabolism level have been revealed by fluorescence microscopy in suspension of cryopreserved hepatocytes, and the effects of freeze-thaw procedure on the redox-state of pyridine nucleotides, the respiration rate, contents of intermediates of Krebs cycle, adenine nucleotide contents and the rate of ATP-dependent processes have been estimated in those populations.
