Author(s) : GORSSE P.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The addition of a "Free Cooling" coil, located in the flux of air to condensers in chilled-water units, makes it possible to cool the chilled water using external air when it is sufficiently cold, and thus achieve energy savings. The precautions to be taken are indicated, notably in the sizing of the coil and the method of regulation. J.L.
