Summary
Condensation heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of non-azeotropic refrigerant mixtures (NARMs) of R22 and R114 inside horizontal smooth and micro-fin tubes were experimentally investigated. The local Nusselt number for both tubes based on the temperature difference between bulk refrigerant and tube wall was compared. Data for the micro-fin tube were about 50% higher than those for the smooth tube in both cases of pure refrigerants and NARMs. In case of NARMs, however, the decrease of Nusselt number due to vapour mass transfer resistance is observed for the micro-fin tube as well as for the smooth tube.
