Summary

A STUDY WAS DONE OF THE EPR OF GADOLINIUM LOCALIZED MOMENTS INTRODUCED AS A PROBE INTO THIS COMPOUND IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 1.6-60 K. STATIC MAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY MEASUREMENTS WERE PERFORMED. THE DEPENDENCE OF THE CERIUM-ION SPIN-FLUCTUATION RATE VERSUS TEMPERATURE AND CONCENTRATION X WAS FOUND, AND THE EXCHANGE-COUPLING PARAMETERS WERE DETERMINED.
