Estimating the indoor air quality and energy performance of VAV systems.

Type of article: Article
Summary
The design of a VAV system may not provide sufficient fresh air, or suitable building static pressure under all operating loads. A new program optimises energy while meeting these criteria. The program is adaptable to all common methods of VAV basic controls. The results show that alternative systems should be considered at the design stage. There are further research possibilities.
