Ethylene evolution and quality of blackberry fruit as influenced by harvest time and storage intervals.
Author(s) : BASIOUNY F. M.
Summary
Fruits of 2 thornless blackberry cultivars (Navaho and Chester) were harvested on 15 June and 1 and 16 July and stored at 3 deg C and 95% relative humidity for 3 weeks. Fruits harvested early in the season stored better than fruits harvested later in the season. Fruit quality deteriorated after 2 weeks' storage, particularly in fruits harvested on 16 July.
