Summary

The article describes experiments carried out in an open non-refrigerated vertical display cabinet, and in an open refrigerated horizontal display cabinet. Two systems are tested: a simple spray system (water pump and nozzles) and an ultrasonic atomizer with front or back injection. Improvements in quality judged by appearance are compared to the more usual 6 hour exposure period with a 2 to 3 day marketing limit. J.R.
