Evolution and use of CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants.
[In Spanish. / En espagnol.]
Author(s) : NICOLETTI A., PINEDA B.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The authors compare the characteristics of conventional halogenated hydrocarbons with those of three substitutes : HFC134a vs. R12; HCFC123 vs. R11; HCFC124 vs. R114. Regarding R502, HFC125 does not appear to be the ideal substitute, but it can be mixed with HFC32. The use of R22 will be allowed until 2020 (possibly 2000 in Germany); its substitutes in the medium term may be ammonia or flammable hydrocarbons. J.G.
