EXERGY IN REFRIGERATION ENGINEERING.

Author(s) : NAJORK H. G.

Summary

PROCEEDING FROM A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ENERGETIC ASSESS-MENT OF REFRIGERATING MACHINES AND HEAT PUMPS BY COMPARING THEIR COP AND EFFICIENCY FACTORS WITH THEORETICAL PROCESSES, THE DISADVANTAGES OF THIS METHOD ARE MADE OUT AND AN EXERGETIC METHOD IS PROPOSED. POSSIBILITIES ARE DISCUSSED FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF COMPLETE REFRIGERATION FACILITIES SUCH AS COLD-STORAGE DEPOTS BY MEANS OF EXERGETIC EFFICIENCIES, ASSUMING THAT THE MINIMUM EXERGY OF COLD AND FROZEN STORAGE OF PRODUCTS ARE KNOWN.
