Summary

DESCRIBES EXPERIENCE WITH ICE STORAGE SYSTEMS IN OFFICE BUILDINGS IN ARNHEM AND AMSTERDAM AND HOSPITALS IN GRONINGEN AND THE HAGUE AND DRAWS THE CONCLUSIONS THAT THESE SYSTEMS REQUIRE ONLY MODEST EXTRA INVESTMENTS AS COMPARED WITH CONVENTIONAL COOLING INSTALLATIONS, THUS OFFERING A POSITIVE EXPLOITATION RESULT. IN ADDITION, THE SAVINGS IN EMERGENCY POWER REQUIREMENTS AND THEIR EASE OF OPERATION MAKE THEM VERY ATTRACTIVE IN SITUATIONS WHERE UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY IS A MAJOR CONCERN. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
