Author(s) : ENSTROM H., KENNE H.

Summary

In Sollentuna, Sweden, a heat pump equipped with the "new" refrigerant R134a, was taken into operation in september 1992. It is placed at the factory area of Jästbolaget, the only yeast producer in Sweden. The paper describes the technical conditions and the system design, optimization and changes in the district heating network. Some economical calculations are given with a special focus on the complications that may occur, when two parties with different profitability strategies shall cooperate. The influence on the environment, local and global, by this technique, is also discussed. Measured performance data are reported.
