Experiences in air conditioning heat pumps with mixed refrigerants.

Summary
Although many HFC mixtures had been proposed as R22 replacement, after system tests and flammability classification, two promising HFC mixtures, R407C and R410A have been chosen as an air-conditioner and heat pump refrigerant. In the paper, system optimization methods for R407C and R410A to achieve comparable efficiency to R22 will be reported. In addition to the system efficiency, reliability, service, etc. are also crucial and should be verified before the new products are introduced into the market. They will be briefly discussed.
