Experimental evaluation of an R32-R134a blend as a near drop-in substitute for R22.
Author(s) : SANVORDENKER K. S.
Summary
The thermodynamic properties and environmental acceptability of a 30-70% blend by mass of R32 and R134a were evaluated to see if this blend could serve as a near drop-in alternative to R22 for use in unitary hermetic compressors. Results indicate that it comes as close as can be expected to being a "drop-in" replacement for R22.
