Experimental study of an air-cooled gas-fired LiBr/H20 absorption chiller.

Author(s) : ZHANG J.

Summary

In this paper, it proves that with changed structure of evaporator, cooler and absorber in lithium-bromide absorption chiller, air-cooled can replace water-cooled. An air-cooled gas-fired LiBr/H2O absorption chiller is specially designed and constructed. Experimental research on performance of the absorption chiller has been carried out under various operating conditions by advanced testing means. The system's performance under different environment temperature, absorption temperature and generation temperature are obtained. The different parameters having influences on the cooling capacity of the absorption chiller are also analyzed and discussed.
