Summary

The testing cross-section was a straight exchanger. In the inner tube a refrigerant condensed, while water circulated in the opposite direction in the annular space. The authors tested the blend HFC-23/HFC-134a with several compositions. In the conditions in which they worked they noticed no gliding effect on the exchange coefficient. Pressure losses can be estimated with conventional correlations by using the physical properties of the blend.
