Experimental study on the influence of the magnetic field on the HCFC-141b gas hydrate formation process.

Author(s) : LIU Y., GUO K. H., LIANG D. Q., et al.

Summary

Low-pressure refrigerant gas hydrates have brilliant prospects as a cool storage medium in air-conditioning systems. In the paper, an intensive effect of the magnetic field on the formation of HCFC-141b refrigerant gas hydrate has been depicted experimentally; under the specific magnetic field, the induction time of hydrate crystallization can be greatly shortened and the formation rate can be enhanced considerably. The orientation of gas hydrate was also altered in the magnetic field.
