Extending avocado's storage life through individual wrapping.

Summary

In this work, the effect of individual wrapping on the characteristics of "Hass" and "Torres" avocado fruits stored at 5.5-7.0 deg C is analyzed. Weight loss, firmness, colour, and organoleptic characteristics were evaluated at different times during cold-storage and subsequent room-temperature storage, the latter being both intended to simulate marketing conditions.
